Day Surgery Centre

Most patients choose to have their procedure performed in our Office Day Surgery Centre.  Its tranquil, peaceful ambience helps patients feel relaxed and calm, providing a comfortable and private place away from the busy world and other people.

Designed by Bryan Mendelson personally to provide the highest standards of technology and patient safety, the Day Surgery Centre was also the first hospital grade day surgery established in Australia - and it continues to meet and exceed all standards of safety and equipment. Each member of staff in the Centre is a specialist in their area, including highly respected anaesthetists and theatre nurses with many years of experience in the particular needs of aesthetic surgery.

After your surgery is completed (and you have recovered for a few hours) there are many options for your post-operative care. Depending on the extent of your surgery, you can either return home, move into our special aftercare apartment ‘Tilley’s’, stay at the Lyall Hotel in South Yarra where we have a special arrangement for post-operative patients, or we can organise a transfer to a nearby hospital for care and a few day’s rest. If you choose to stay at Tilley’s or a hotel, we will organise a specialist plastic surgery nurse to stay with you, if required.  

You return the next day for the first post-operative visit, and then subsequent consultations occur depending on your surgery and the schedule which has been created for you.
