Overseas/Interstate Patients

We have a range of services especially for our overseas and interstate patients, with support and assistance for every aspect of your stay.

This service starts with an online consultation with Bryan Mendelson. This can be commenced by filling out the appropriate secure online form. (Facial Rejuvenation Form | Rhinoplasty Form) Please answer in as much detail as you can, providing photographs (recently taken, side and front on). Dr Mendelson will personally review your information and your online consultation will follow, either as a consultation via correspondence or a Skype video consultation (this incurs a $100 fee).

If you decide to have surgery, you will then be helped through the process of information and planning just like our local patients, with our patient advisors maintaining regular contact in the lead up to the procedure. They will also discuss your accommodation requirements and explain the surgery’s post-operative options, so everything is planned and ready when you arrive.

After your surgery you will receive the extensive post-operative services and personal care which we provide for all our patients. This ensures that you receive a schedule of post-surgical consultations, a hair wash and blow dry on day three and a range of skin care treatments (such as low level laser or lymphatic drainage massage) to reduce facial swelling and promote healing. Our aftercare team will also keep an eye on your emotional wellbeing (they are experienced at the highs and lows which can follow surgery) and ensure you don’t feel lonely during your stay. Accommodation
Most of our interstate and overseas patients choose to stay at Tilley’s, our private aftercare apartment, just a few metres from the surgery in peaceful Toorak where you can be close to us and feel safe and secure after your surgery. If you prefer to stay at a hotel, we have arrangements with the Lyall Hotel South Yarra (one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World), which also offers privacy and convenience.

If your surgery is more extensive, one of our experienced nurses can look after you post-operatively either at Tilley’s or in your hotel room, or you might prefer to spend a few days in a hospital after your surgery. There are many options which we can organise for you.

Many patients enjoy the experience of being away from home to have their surgery, and the Tilley’s Guest Book is full of wonderful comments from patients who have loved staying there.
