Brow Lift

The Problem
As we age our brow drops and our eyebrows lower. For many people this creates significant and undesirable changes, leaving them with a heavy, crowded look around their eyes and the appearance of a frown even when they are relaxed. It also contributes to drooping at the outer corner of the eyes and for many the problem is compounded by deep vertical lines between the eyebrows, adding a severe, worried expression.

The Benefits
Injectable muscle relaxants are a common and quite effective solution, but they need to be repeated every few months so having a Brow Lift is a permanent option to provide ‘lightening’ of the upper face.

Lightening the brow has a profound effect over the entire upper third of the face, restoring a look of freshness and a more alert, youthful expression. The results look entirely natural and the hairline is not altered by the procedure. Patients say they are delighted to have lost the heavy, tired look on their face and to no longer wear an angry or worried expression which does not reflect their inner feelings.

Age related lines on the forehead are also improved and puffiness or extreme fullness in the upper eyelids, caused by the lowering of the brow above, is also improved.

Younger people, whose first ageing has occurred in the brow area, will find that a Brow Lift restores balance by bringing the brow into line with the more youthful remainder of their face, and it may be the only procedure required.  Those with more extensive ageing may have a Brow Lift performed in conjunction with other surgery, such as a facelift (where it produces a natural rejuvenation of the upper face) or with upper eyelid surgery.
